Hope Therapy Center

Angelica F. Veliz

Occupational Therapist, OT

HTC59

As an Occupational Therapist, I have worked with children who have Developmental Delays since I graduated in 2008. At Hope Therapy, in addition to helping children increase their fine motor strength, dexterity, and manipulation, visual perception and visual motor integration, gross motor strength, balance, and coordination, social, safety awareness, and self-care skills, I also address vestibular and balance issues relevant to children with hearing loss and children with cochlear implants. Every time a client reaches a goal, and her parent tells me, “I saw her do it at home!” I experience a ‘wow’ moment. It is so rewarding to be a part of a child’s life and to help her make it better.

I have completed continuing education training in Sensory Processing Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Vestibular Dysfunction, and I am eager to learn more, to maximize my clients’ engagement and motivation during therapeutic exercises and activities. I look forward to helping children at Hope develop age appropriate skills to participate in all areas of life.
